Description

The proposed process of testing the type of design of waste containers or waste casks for the final storage of radioactive waste in the Konrad mine is described. The testing of the design includes the assessment of the design safety of the waste containers or waste casks, particularly with regard to the safe enclosure of the waste products, by analytical and by experimental design tests and the assessment and determination of the specifications and quality assurance measures to be observed in the manufacture and use of waste containers manufactured by massproduction according to the tested type of design. Abstract (German)

Das vorgeschlagene Verfahren der Bauartpruefung von Abfallbehaeltern bzw. von Abfallgebinden zur Endlagerung radioaktiver Abfaelle in der Schachtanlage Konrad wird beschrieben. Die Bauartpruefung umfasst die Beurteilung der konstruktiven Sicherheit der Abfallbehaelter bzw. Abfallgebinde, insbesondere im Hinblick auf den sicheren Einschluss der Abfallprodukte, sowohl durch analytische als auch durch experimentelle Baumusterpruefungen, sowie die Beurteilung und Festlegung der bei Fertigung und Verwendung von serienmaessig nach der geprueften Bauart hergestellten Abfallbehaeltern zu beachtenden Spezifikationen und qualitaetssichernden Massnahmen.
