Emission of pions through nucleonic cells at high energies

Description
It is shown that the multiplicity distribution of the secondary shower particles produced from P-N collisions at 22.6, 24 and 70 GeV follows nearly Wang-I model of distribution. Poisson's distribution and Wang-II distribution fail to give a satisfactory fit to these inelastic collisions. The experimental results thus lead the authors to favour those models for the nuclear emission which describe the hadron-nucleus collisions in terms of multiple soft quark interactions, against the Poisson distribution model.
