Crystal and magnetic structures of RuSr2(Nd,Ce4+)2Cu2O10-δ
Description
The crystal and magnetic structures of RuSr2(Nd,Ce)2Cu2O10-δ (RuNd-1222) have been investigated by X-ray at room temperature and neutron powder diffraction at room temperature and T=2 K. The rotation angle of the RuO6 around the c-axis and the equatorial Ru-O(1) and apical Ru-O(2) bond lengths in these octahedra increase and the tilt angle of the RuO6 decreases upon cooling. In our measurements, we did not find any magnetic ordering of Ru moments in RuSr2(Nd,Ce)2Cu2O10-δ phase. The treatment of RuNd-1222 under oxygen pressure leads to the formation of cubic perovskite phase
