Platelet production rate determination with (75Se)-seleno-methionine

  • 1. CEA Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires de Saclay, 91 - Gif-sur-Yvette (France). Service de Biophysique

Description

Experimental results are presented indicating that actin is a reasonable choice as a probe for platelet production rate measurements. Electrophoretic separation of total digests is shown to be a rapid and easy procedure to obtain specific radioactivity and percentage incorporation. At the optimum injection level the actin band contains about 300 cpm and the main uncertainty will probably arise from the electrophoretic procedure. (Auth.)
