Quasi-molecular emission in He(21S) + Ne collisions

  • 1. St. Petersburg State Univ. (Russian Federation)

Description

Quasi-molecular radiative transitions He(21S) + Ne → He(11S) + Ne + ℎω induced by interatomic interaction are considered. For the process of collisionally induced radiative quenching of the metastable He(21 S) state, the energy dependence of the cross section and the temperature dependence of the rate constant are calculated. Spectral distributions for the processes of collisionally induced emission and absorption close to the forbidden atomic line He(21S-1 1S) are calculated. 18 refs., 5 figs., 3 tabs
