Kinetics of ions and neutrals in a low-pressure gas discharge with a closed Hall current

Description
Kinetics of atoms and ions taking account of their interaction in plasma accelerators with a closed electron drift is considered. The particle distribution functions and their momenta are expressed by quadratures, by solving a system of two one-dimensional integral equations to which a problem is reduced. The distribution function and ion temperature, the particle fluxes and densities are determined for particular conditions. It is shown that at definite discharge conditions charge exchange is decisive
