Reactor coolant cleanup device
- 1. Toshiba Corp., Kawasaki, Kanagawa (Japan)
Description
Purpose: To simplify a step for processing impurities contained in coolants thereby to increase the safety of the impurities disposal processing operation and improve the processing function thereof. Constitution: A magnetic filter consisting of metallic magnetic mesh, exciting coil and magnetic yoke is connected to an unprocessed high-temperature coolant flow path of the reactor. Impurities such as Co, Fe, Mn and the like contained in unprocessed high-temperature coolants sent from the reactor are absorbed to the magnetic mesh which has been excited, and purified coolants are returned to the reactor. The adsorbed impurities are easily recovered by demagnetization. (Nakamura, S.)
