The preparation of 4-oxy-phenylpyruvic acid labelled with radioiodine and its separation by adsorption chromatography
Description
Mono- and diiodo derivatives of 4-oxy-phenylpyruvic acid, labelled with 131I (MIP-131I and DIP-131I) were synthesized by the chloramine-T method, identified by paper and thin layer chromatography and purified by Sephadex LH-20 gel chromatography. The columns were eluted by citrate buffer of different pH values, or by n-propanol of different concentrations. MIP-131I was equally stable in water and organic solvents, whereas DIP-131I could be stored only in organic solvents. (L.E.)
