Description

The current status of fusion chemistry was reviewed and priorities were identified for future work related to chemical aspects of fusion technology. The highest priority will be given to work in support of the International Tokamak Reactor (INTOR) programme. This work should include ceramic breeder development, the technology of coolants for the breeder, and chemical aspects of plasma/first wall interactions and hydrogen/materials interactions. Priorities for longer-term objectives were also considered. (author)
