Radiation-pulse electric conductivity of aromatic polymides with different structure of dianhydride component

  • 1. Moskovskij Inst. Ehlektronnogo Mashinostroeniya (USSR)

Description

The induced electrical conductivity of aromatic polyimides on the basis of diaminodiphenyl ester with different structure of dianhydride component has been studied in the wide range of parameters of impulse irradiation electrons with energy 65 keV) in 2x10-3 Pa vacuum at the room temperature. The sharp increase of the residual electrical conductivity of polypiromellite imide irradiated in vacuum up to 105-106 Gy doses is confeirmed being related with radiation-induced modification of the polymer structure. The formed structure has a methastable character and is easily degradated in the presence of oxygen
