Description
The high frequency satellite Lαsup(X) in the L-emission spectrum of europium-63 has been reported for the first time at lambda=2108.0 X.U. The origin of the satellite Lαsup(X) has been ascribed to the transition Lsub(III)Msub(II)→Msub(II)Msub(V)on the basis of the multiple ionization theory. The wavelength values calculated for this transition are found to be in good agreement with the measured values for the Lαsup(X)satellite in all the elements in which it has been observed so far.
