Polarization effects in deuteron electrodisintegration. T-odd proton polarization

Description
General parametrization of the polarization vector of protons produced in inelastic electron-deuteron scattering has been derived using the structure function formalism. The relativistic version of the impulse approximation with subsequent unitarization of the γd → np reaction multipole amplitudes was used for numerical estimation of the proton polarization components. The relativistic approach allowed the consideration of final np-interaction effects using the nucleon-nucleon scattering phase shifts. The sensitivity of various proton polarization components to the choice of the deuteron wave function and to the contribution of various γd → np mechanisms, including the excitation of possible dibaryon resonances, has been investigated
