Thermoinduced change in atomic and electronic structure of Co and Ni surface
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev (Ukraine). Inst. Metallofiziki
Description
Auger-electron spectroscopy is used to study a change in the electronic structure of the Co surface at a polymorphic transformation and of the N1 surface at magnetostrictive processes. It is shown theoretically that a change in peak-to-peak intensities L3VV- and M2,3VV-peaks of Ni and Co is due to a change in the energetic with of the valence d-band of transitional metals with changing the interatomic distance
