Some observational results of chromospheric spicules in K and D3

Description

In this paper the spectra of spicules on the solar limb observed simultaneously in the K and D3 lines are studied in terms of time and altitude (2000<h<5000 km). The measures of the variation of the central intensity I0 with the altitude are given. The classification of spicules in two groups: wide profile (LW) and narrow profile (LN) has been confirmed. There are approximately twice as many LW spicules as LN, the lifetime of LN spicules seems to be <2.5 min. With the help of L values, the microturbulence (zeta) in the spicules can be determined as a function of the height. The results of both lines are concordant and the interpretation suggested is that microturbulence has, generally speaking, two components zeta0 and zetasub(e). (Auth.)
