Modeling of cross sections in the unresolved resonance region

  • 1. Inst. Nucl. Res. Nucl. Energy, Sofia (Bulgaria)

Description

In the unresolved resonance region the statistical modeling of the R-matrix elements is used. We solve this problem by determination of the distribution functions of the R-matrix parameters. We determine the characteristic function, which is common for all functionals of the cross sections. For any modeling of cross sections in this region the average functional will be calculated with the same accuracy as the corresponding characteristic function. (orig.)
