On interference of Coulomb and nuclear scattering amplitudes
Description
Possible physical effects are considered responsible for the behaviour of the pp-bar-scattering differential cross sections observed at the Spp-barS collider in the region of the Coulomb and nuclear amplitude interference. In particular, the maximal odderon exchange and the role of the relative phase of these amplitudes are discussed. At the same time it is pointed out that the fitting procedure admits as well relatively small values of the real part of the amplitude which can be described without exotic assumption
