Irradiation effects in D-mannose as studied by electron spin resonance spectroscopy
Description
Electron spin resonance (esr) studies of 60Co γ-irradiated polycrystalline mannose have been used to investigate how the nature and concentration of the unpaired electron species trapped in the solid vary with dose and period of storage at room temperature. The results are considered in relation to recent reports of lyoluminescence investigations of the same material. (author)
