Phosphine oxide complexes of cyclopentadienyl neptunium(IV) and plutonium(IV) N-thiocyanates, M(cp)(NCS)3.xL (cp=eta5-C5H5) (x=2, M=Pu, L=P(CH3)3O (tmpo); M=Np and Pu, L=P(CH3)2(C6H5)O (dm-ppo), P(CH3)(C6H5)2O (mdppo) and P(C6H5)3O (tppo); x=3, M=Np, L=tmpo) and complexes of the tetra-N-thiocyanates, M(NCS)4.4L (M=Np and Pu, L=dmppo and mdppo) have been prepared. The IR and near IR-visible spectra of the compounds are reported. (orig.)
