Scanning photodetector for fast tomographic spectrometry: charge-coupled device or dissector?

  • 1. Kievskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Kiev (Ukraine)

Description

Comparison analysis of application of different type scanning photodetectors in tomographic spectrometry for optical diagnostics of plasma is accried out. Using tomographic spectrometry it is possible to reduce coordinate distribution of spectral emissivity of plasma volume using results of radiation measurement along the selected directions. Due to the conducted comparison of high-speed scanning photodetectors as to number of decomposition elements it is determined, that CCD-liners (up to 2x103 elements) have the best potentials. For dissectors this value constitutes 2x102, while for modification of these devices with near-photocathode grid - 103
