Influence of secondary charged particles on the dose distribution in quartz-polymeric samples
- 1. Sankt-Peterburgskij Gosudarstvennyj Tekhnicheskij Univ. (Russian Federation)
Description
With the aid of the programme, based on the Monte-Carlo method and taking into account the passage of protons and α-particles through heterogeneous samples, the absorbed dose was calculated for the quartz glass with polymeric coating, that was irradiated with fast neutrons. It is determined that the secondary charged particles from the polymeric coating can have considerable influence on radiation stability of quartz-polymeric samples irradiated by neutrons
