The problems of spherical fuel element efficiency in the conditions of a fast reactor
Creators
Description
The survey of works concerning the problems of spherical fuel element efficiency in respect to designing a fast gas-cooled reactor is given. Experimental and theoretical data on spherical fuel element efficiency in the conditions of HTGR are given. It is shown that such fuel elements with silicon carbide layers are able to be sufficiently serviceable for a long time offering adequate strength characteristics. The nature of the basic mathematical models for assigning the stressed-strained conditions of spherical fuel elements is described briefly
