Estimation of solidus and liquidus temperature for UO2-PuO2 pseudo binary system

Description

The solidus and liquidus temperatures for UO2-PuO2 pseudo binary is estimated using an average value for the melting temperature of UO2. Both solid and liquid solutions were assumed ideal. The estimated values are compared with other estimated values as well with some recent experimental measurements. The data estimated in this work was found to predict between the low and high values reported in the literature. (author)
