Clinical applications of radiopharmaceuticals
Description
The daily use of tens of thousands of radiopharmaceutical doses in thousands of American medical facilities, ranging from clinics to hospitals and specialty medical practices, includes ∼100 different nuclear medicine procedures that are largely directed toward diagnosis of disease through the study of pathophysiology. In addition, a small percentage of these procedures are therapeutic in nature. This paper provides an overview of these procedures
