The effect of deformation rate on interconnection between strain hardening and acoustic emission parameters of carbon steel

  • 1. Dnepropetrovskij Inst. Chernoj Metallurgii, Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine)

Description

Strain hardening coefficient of high carbon steels was found to be in inverse proportion to acoustic emission pulses intensity. Elevation of globular cementite volume fraction increases the sensitivity of (n-ln N) relationship to deformation rate changes
