Influence of copolymer 2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine with 2-methyl-5-vinylpyridinium-N-oxide on radiation induced myelodepression in mice

Description
Influence of the new water-soluble copolymer 2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine with 2-methyl-5-vinylpyridinium-N-oxide, which is characterized by expressed curative radioprotective action, on blood formation in mice with experimental cytopenia, induced by the effect of ionizing radiation, is studied. The myelodepression in the animals was caused through the 137Cs gamma-quanta irradiation with the dose of 4 Gy by the dose rate of 1.55 Gy/min. The copolymer was injected once intravascularly with the dose of 400 mg/kg three hours after the radiation impact. It is shown, that the copolymer exerts positive effect on the blood formation state: it decreases the rate of its damage and accelerates the repair process

Изучено влияние нового водорастворимого сополимера 2-метил-5-винил с 2-метил-5-винилпиридиний-N-оксидом, обладающего выраженным лечебным противолучевым действием, на кроветворение мышей с экспериментальной цитопенией, индуцированной воздействием ионизирующей радиации. Миелодепрессию мышей вызывали облучением животных гамма-квантами 137Сs дозе 4 Гр при мощности 1,55 Гр/мин. Сополимер вводили мышам внутримышечно в дозе 400 мг/кг однократно через 3 часа после лучевого воздействия. Показано, что сополимер оказывает положительное влияние на состояние кроветворения: уменьшает степень его поражения и ускоряет процесс восстановленияAdditional details
