Temperature profiles of various rod power ratios in a CANDU-type 19-rod fuel bundle
Description
Detailed temperature distributions are investigated numerically for various power ratios of center/middle/center ring in CANDU-type 19-rod fuel bundle. Present computation employs the SIMPLE solution algorithm with standard κ-ε two equation model of turbulence. The fully-developed and steady state flowfields are assumed to be identical in all cases, and the Reynolds number, based on the equivalent diameter, is 43,500. The rod power ratios of 1:1:1, 0:1:1, 1:1:1.5, 0:1:1.5, 1:1:2, 0:1:2 for the three rings of rods inside the adiabatic pressure tube are considered
