Description
A study was made on short-wave photoluminescence in CdTe, subjected to anode etching in order to form layers with porous silicon like structure in its near the surface region. It is shown that anode etching of CdTe monocrystals is accompanied by occurrence of wide photoluminescence band in the depth of its fundamental absorption. This may be related both with low-dimension effects and with formation of layers on CdTe surface, composition of which doesn't correspond to cadmium telluride. 9 refs., 2 figs
