Description
The basic principles of particle detection with track detectors are dealt with. The choice of suitable detector materials, irradiation conditions, etching methods for the visualization of tracks with regard to various types of detectors are described and the interpretation of obtained results is given. The method of track autoradiography using detectors without emulsion was employed in the determination of boron distribution in semiconductor-grade silicon and in metallurgy for the determination of the bismuth distribution pattern in binary alloys with copper, zinc and tin.
