Description
The authors clarify the structure of gauged N = 2 supergravity with cosmological term of arbitrary sign in the context of conformal supergravity. It is found that there exists a larger variety of these theories than has been anticipated. The presence of negative-metric states is explained, and a theory with zero cosmological constant in which the photon couples to a nilpotent charge is presented. (author)
