Method for production of superconducting fibre bundles
Description
A method for the production of super-conducting fibre bundles is described which are made up of a large number of base fibres coated with a super-conducting coating. The fibres used are e.g. carbon fibres, boron fibres, steel fibres. According to this method a base fibre bundle is fanned to a base fibre lattice. This process is followed by an all-round coating of the base fibres with niobium oxycarbon nitride [(NbCxNyOz (x+y+z≤1)] by cathode sputtering of niobium in presence of nitrogen (compounds) and carbon (compounds). Beschrieben wird ein Herstellungsverfahren fuer ein supraleitendes Faserbuendel, das aus einer Vielzahl mit einer supraleitenden Schicht beschichteten Traegerfasern, wie z.B. Kohlefasern, Borfasern, Stahlfasern besteht. Dem Verfahren zufolge wird ein Traegerfaserbuendel zu einem Traegerfaserverband aufgefaechert. Hieran schliesst sich eine allseitige Beschichtung der Traegerfasern mit Nioboxycarbonitrid [NbCxNyOz (x+y+z≤1)] durch Kathodenzerstaeubung von Niob bei gleichzeitiger Anwesenheit von Stickstoff(-verbindungen) und Kohlenstoff(-verbindungen) an.
