Description
The main objectives of the work were: 1) To develop a methodology for calculating the shielding of X-ray rooms, by obtaining equations, based on the parameters of NCRP-147; 2) Create software to automatically calculate the thickness of the shielding layers, based on the position of the X-ray beam, type of attenuating material, average number of exams performed in the room, rate of permanence of professionals in the room behind the shielded wall and the distance between the wall and the source, considering the primary and secondary radiations; 3) Validate the program by comparing the results obtained with those analytically calculated in NCRP-147
