The equivalence of Polyakov and Witten bosonic string theory
Description
It is shown that Polyakov string theory and the Witten's open bosonic string field theory give the same vacuum amplitudes with correct combinatorial factors in arbitrary order of perturbation expansion. The proof is based on the fact that the order of mapping class group and combinatorial factor of string Feynman diagram are equal. (author)
