Problems of visibility of lesions in computer processing scintigraphic images
Description
An estimation of visibility of lesions curves in scintigraphic images processing by the multiple convolution method has been presented. Investigations have been made on two phantoms: physical and mathematical, differing in form and dimensions of programmed lesions. It has been shown that fundamental differencies in run of the visibility curves depend not only on the used method of data processing but also on the form of an object under test (mainly from the point of view of changes in activity distribution) and the proper determination of the number of colour scale levels in image presentation on TV monitor. 4 refs., 5 figs.
