Synthesis of Se-75 labeled catecholamine derivatives: adrenal medulla tumor specific radiopharmaceuticals

Description
Three classes of 75Se-labelled catecholamines have been synthesised. In class I the 75Se replaces the amine function of dopamine, using Na75SeH. In class II the selenomethyl group replaces the -OH function in epinephrine. In class III 75Se replaces the #betta#-carbon in catecholamine. NMR and mass spectroscopy were used to characterise the compounds. (U.K.)
