High power, high intensity superconducting proton driver linac at KEK

  • 1. High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK), Tsukuba, Ibaraki (Japan)

Description

At High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK), there has been a preliminary investigation on building a linac-based multi-MW, high intensity proton driver for neutrino experiments. We report some preparations toward the front end design of the driver linac: front end beamline structure and the designs of two superconducting cavities, the half-wave resonator 1 and half-wave resonator 2.
