Gamma-alpha irradiation induced transition in austenitic stainless steels irradiated with high doses and their some consequences under deformation
- 1. FGUP 'GNTs RF NIIAR', Dimitrovgrad (Russian Federation)
Description
Results of study both mechanical properties and structure of two metastable austenitic stainless steels irradiated up to a high doses are presented. The 08Cr18Ni10Ti steel irradiation was carried out at the SM high current reactor core by mixed neutron spectrum at 70-120 deg C in the reactor coolant medium - distil water. By the neutron monitors measurements the maximal fast neutrons fluence makes up the value 5.3·1026 nm-2 (E>0.1 MeV). The 09Cr15Ni10Pb3B steel samples have been irradiated at the BOR-60 reactor at temperatures ∼320 deg C, 340 deg C, 380 deg C up to fluences 0.3·1026 nm-2, 1.8·1026 nm-2, 1.3·1026 nm-2 respectively. From the tension diagram, X-ray structural and electron microscopic data the evidences of radiation-induced martensite formation in the austenitic matrix and martensite transformation temperature increase in the irradiated steel have been obtained. The connection between microstructure and radiation hardening, as well as a silicon content were discussed
