Oxidation-reduction reactions of platinum elements. 13. Kinetics of reaction between rhodium (4) and hydrazine

Description
The four-valency rhodium is reduced by hydrazine up to the four-valency state. The rate of this reaction in the HClO4 solutions is subjected to the equation-d[Rh(4)]/dt=k[Rh(4)][N2H5+]0.7/[H+]0.0, where k=0.170±0.010 mole0.1(;0.1·min) at the temperature of 40 deg C and the solution ion force μ=3. The activation energy constitutes 80/7±5.6 kJ/mole. Possible causes for the reaction autocatalysis are considered
