Description

The process of radiation-thermal synthesis of strontium ferites from strontium carbonate and iron (3) oxides has been investigated. The synthesis has been performed using high-frequency electron accelerator at 1173, 1273, 1373, 1473 K temperatures and 15 min holding time at the specified temperature. The results have been compared with the data obtained with multistage annealings at the same temperatures in a silit furnace. It is shown that succession in phase formation at thermal and radiation - thermal synthesis coincides. Performing of the synthesis under radiation - thermal conditions results in relieving of diffusion resistances and transition of the processes into kinetic regime which at thermal annealings is impossible without frequent and thorough grindings. Probably this is due to considerable disordering at the micro- and macro-level of phases of intermediate as well as finite products causing considerable weakening of their blocking properties. Hence, the possibility of using the radiation-thermal synthesis not only for acceleration of technological processes of complex-oxide materials but also for investigation of phase, diagrams of oxide systems requiring annealings under thermal conditions during hundreds of hours
