Results in treatment of radiosynoviorthesis by 90Y-silicate in patients with chronic polyarthritis

Description
In 41 patients with chronic polyarthritis 90Y-silicate was instilled in one knee joint 61 times. In 22 patients it was successful for the whole treatment period, 8 patients had lasting clinical success at least for 12 months, and 5 patients showed a partial success during the first 6 months only. In 6 patients no objective improvements were seen and in 7 cases the operative synovectomy was necessary in spite of treatment. There were no complications. (author)
