Description
A nanostructured composite powder formed by NiSb+Sb was obtained by Mechanical Alloying (MA) in 39h. The structural evolution was followed by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) measurements. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) showed two exothermic processes: the first was associated to the NiSb+Sb→NiSb2 transition and the second one was associated to the nucleation of Sb2O3. These two processes were investigated by variable-temperature powder XRD. The Raman Spectroscopy (RS) measurements showed that Sb2O3 phase has nanometric crystallite size. (author)
