Molecular origins of time-dependent reactivity of species trapped in solids

  • 1. Technical Univ., Lodz (Poland). Inst. of Applied Radiation Chemistry

Description

Time-dependent reactivity of species trapped in solids originates from the distribution of energy barriers for reactions. These energy barriers are not necessarily those needed for species to leave the intact traps either classically or quantum-mechanically. In many cases they are the energies needed to destroy the traps and free the trapped species. (author)
