Description
An investigation was made of the properties of tunnel and bridge contacts based on superconducting Nb3Ge films. These Nb3Ge films were formed by the method of cathodic sputtering. Two values of the energy gap Δ/sub m/ = 1.3 meV and Δ/sub b/ = 3.6 meV, associated with the occurrence of two superconducting phases, were observed and it was found that 2Δ/sub b//kT/sub c/ = 4.3. Gaps of subharmonics and Fiske steps were observed. Bridge contacts, formed by double scribing, exhibited step-like current-voltage characteristics in a wide range of temperatures. The step structure was attributed to synchronization of the motion of vortices by an external microwave field
