Comparison of double antibody solid phase and anti-RGG application in placental lactogen radioimmunoassay

  • 1. Akademia Medyczna, Lublin (Poland)

Description

A comparative study was made of the use of the DASP (antirabbit) antibody by Organon and the anti RGG (anti-sheep) antibody by Serono for radioimmunological determination of placental lactogen. It was found that in the use of DASP the maximal binding of 125I-labelled HPL with antibodies ranged from 23.65 to 45.59%. On the other hand, the maximal binding using anti RGG was lower, i.e., within the region of 15.77 to 28.16%. It thus appears that in view of the higher binding of the labelled hormone to the antiserum, DASP is more favourable for radioimmunological determination of HPL. (L.O.)
