Calculation and optimization of cascades for separating multicomponent mixtures

Description
The authors present mathematical scenarios for modeling and optimizing the cascade parameters of uranium isotope separation by gaseous diffusion. The model incorporates geometric parameters as well as the energy efficiency of the process and the component ratio of the enriched and waste streams leaving the separator. The model reduces the amount of machine time required for the simulation by using a target function of optimization
