Description
Cancer is one of the most complex diseases and one of the most effective treatments, Radiation therapy, is also a complicated process. Informatics is becoming a critical tool for clinician, Medical Physicists, scientists for improvement to the treatment and better understanding of the diseases. Computation techniques such as Knowledge based planning/Artificial Intelligence have been increasingly used in radiation therapy. Artificially intelligent computer systems are hungry for data. As a result, they must be continuously fed with the right kind of data so they continuously learn and update their algorithms. As AI is incorporated into cancer treatment planning systems, the impact of automation on existing workforce skill sets must be evaluated
