Resonance-like phenomena in few-nucleon transfer reactions

  • 1. Kernforschungsanlage Juelich G.m.b.H. (Germany, F.R.). Inst. fuer Kernphysik

Description

In recent years interest on properties of few-nucleon- and cluster transfer, especially of α-particle transfer reactions has increased. Up to now there are quite some experiments on four-nucleon transfer reactions, stripping as well as pickup; but most of them are at such low incident energies that only the first few levels could be observed and analyzed. In order to investigate properties of highly excited levels or structures the authors used the 80 MeV deuteron beam of the Juelich Isochronous Cyclotron 'JULIC' in measuring mainly the (d, 6Li) reaction on the target nuclei 14N, 16O, 20Ne (gas targets), 242526Mg and 40Ca (solid self-supporting targets). In this contribution, only the results of the (d, 6Li) reaction on 16O are presented in detail. (Auth.)
