MRI feature of myoepithelioma in nasalcavity (a case report with literature review)

Description
Objective: To study clinical manifestations and MRI findings of myoepithelioma. Methods: MR images of a case of myoepithelioma diagnosed in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively, and reviewing other relative articles. This case of myoepithelioma was confirmed by open surgery followed by pathological examination. Results Analyzing MR appearances of this special case of myoepithelioma, we find it has a equal signal in T1W and T2W, and which nonuniform enhancement was reveal after the adminisistration of contrast agent. Conclusion: Myoepithelioma was not a rare entity, especially at minor salivary glands, and had malignant tendency. If those MR appearances occur in the areas of minor salivary glands, myoepithelioma should be included in the possible diagnosis. (authors)
