Indirect optical transitions in the intensive laser radiation field

Description
A study is made of the absorption coefficient of light K(Ω) for indirect zone-zone transitions in a strong electromagnetic wave field. It is shown that at an electrical field strength E of the order of 5x104 W/cm (for a CO2 laser) a change in K(Ω) should be observed, which can be fully ascertained experimentally. (author)
