Identification of temporary waste storage of high activity (PSLAT)

Description

Has made the identification of the PSLAT to get the accurate data of the radioactive waste stored in PSLAT because PSLAT has not functioned / operated until periods of change management, in addition also to get the solution of the problem of radioactive waste that has medium and height activity faced by the radioactive waste Technology Center (PTLR) especially radioactive waste generated by PT. INUKI. Identification PSLAT applied only to bunker I bunker II, bunker III and bunker IV is done by opening the lid of bunker using cranes and equipment necessary, issue of radioactive waste that is to be identified include the origin of the waste, the amount of waste, the type of radionuclide activity as well as the amount of radiation exposure on contact and at a distance of 1 meter. PSLAT identification is also to rearrangement, the radioactive waste that can dismantling for fellowship activity in PTLR and radioactive waste that can be sent back to their country of origin are separated and sent to a temporary storage / interim storage (IS) 2. PSLAT of identification showed that the radioactive waste in the bunker I have 3 drum shell of 200 liter containing radionuclides AmBe and Cf-252 which remains in the PSLAT, and others such as radioactive waste that can be sent to IS 2 for further management. while in the bunker II and III contain the radioactive waste drums or boxes contains of AmBe so that should be placed in PSLAT and no radioactive waste in bunker IV. Radioactive waste is replacement and all the radioactive waste had placed bunkers II, so PSLAT currently has three bunker is empty, to be used for the management of radioactive waste that has medium and high activity, or radioactive waste can not be managed by Radioactive Waste Installation (IPLR).
