Description
This report describes model equations, model codes, usage and related information of the three-dimensional wind field model for regional scale, WSYNOP, comprised in Worldwide Version of System for Prediction of Environmental Emergency Dose Information, WSPEEDI. WSYNOP is a diagnostic model and calculates three dimensional synoptic wind fields from the input of meteorological data provided by the numerical weather prediction model routinely operated by Japan Meteorological Agency. The model code is vectorized and parallelized. The code can be transplanted easily between UNIX machines, and has been implemented on a VPP300, VPP500 and workstations. (author)
